Canada Heads Up is a street car based series that features everything from the fastest street style doorslammers in heads up action to sportsman racing. Come check us out at St. Thomas Dragway July 25/26 2020 for our first event!

As the 2020 racing season hangs in limbo, Canadian simulator giant VRX Simulator has partnered with iRacing to bring drag racing to the level of international play the likes of NASCAR and Sportscar/ Touring car and F1 have only seen. Rumors started months ago when promoters Donald Long, Jay Payso and Canad’s own Ian Hill discussed the potential of losing the 2020 drag racing season. “Once we agreed that RvW, Pro275, X275 and N/T28s were the 4 most popular classes in all of drag racing we contacted Iracing and begun plans to bring our brand of drag racing to the front!

In the mean time, having the top promoters in one chat session gave chance to discuss the long overdue rule changes that will help drive home the permanent stake of small tire racing as the leading wave of the drag racing events. With discussion leaning towards a 28″ tire revolution it was decided that “LDR would forever be dropped and in place X275 would see an increase in hp potential to try to allow the X275 to creep into the 4.1 zone” – said Canadian Promoter Ian Hill.

Canadian Radial tire racer Adam Basterache is the first known Canadian racer to step up to the updated X275 class rules. After he hurt his engine late last season at the Import vs the World event, Adam watched closely as the new rule set fell into place and is now ready for the new season with his twin turbo combination fresh from Canada Heads Up series supporter Bulls Eye Power Turbochargers and as such will have free entry into all of our Friday test Sessions this season! Adam is also considering running Maxima Racing Oil provided by RM Racing Lubricants so once the local EZ Street rules are updated to align to the newest changes of X275 he looks forward to his plans of going for the EZ Street Championship in 2020 and taking the bonus Champions payouts that RM has posted for the class! All this with  the added bonus of $1000 for the quickest ET in EZ Street provided by Rob Zarcone and Nick Agostino, Adam has his sights set on a big win at the year end banquet!!!

Motorama 2020 is finally upon us! Come check out our booth #1318 in the back end of Hall 1 (in the same spot we were last year!). We will have some serious horsepower on display this year showing off a wide spectrum of what our focus is on this year! Representation this year with include – Super Street, EZ Street, Bikes, Street275, Limited28s and Jr Dragster classes! 

We will also be promoting a couple of our fund raisers at this event. We are raffeling off an EZ GO custom golf cart (customized by RCR Performance Golf Catrs), only 210 tickets are being sold and the ticket sales can be tracked on our Facebook pages. Ian Hill Racing Productions (IHRP) is proud to welcome Mike Vanni to our racing Team. Mike will be continuing with his on track knowledge and continuing to bring his best track-traction efforts to the table during all of our Canada Heads Up and OGW race weekends.

This just in… No Clock Small Block is coming to Canada!

Quebec Grudge Wars and Ontario Grudge Wars have always maintained a similar rule set between each other and this time is no different. With the ever growing popularity of the Limited28s class and the low ets it continuously sees we realized the separation of the combos needs a fix! The combo that seems to be being left in the et department is the Small Block Nitrous combo. So to fill the gap between the Street Class and the 235Outlaws class we felt the Nitrous Small Block combo was a good place to start!

“Once Lights Out Promoter Donald Duck Long announced the rule set for his 11th running of the popular event at South Georgia Motorsports Park we checked his rules out and realised they fit what we are all about – simple, easy to tech and basic! From the printing press at the super-secret hideout of IHRP head quarters

Ian Hill Racing Productions (IHRP) is pleased to release our 2020 race schedule. The 7-race schedule will see the Heads Up Street Car Shootout Series – powered by Maxima Racing Oil and the RPM Magazine Smackdown4 races being held at St. Thomas Raceway Park will Unfinished Business returns to NYIRP – Lancaster Dragway in NY. We are still in negotiations for a couple of other events we look forward to hosting/ co-hosting in 2020 as well we look forward to attending Quebec Grudge Wars’ June 2020 Small Tire Shootout.

Heads Up – Street Car Shootout Series – powered by Maxima Racing Oil continues from our inaugural 2019 season. The same classes will be run with a few extras added in! The series will see a continuation of a similar points structure and record-breaking performance recording for Super Street, EZ Street, 235 Outlaws, Street Bikes and Street275. 8.80 Extreme bikes will also chase points for the 2020 season as they continue being part of the Pro Category section of the Schedule. The weekend will be capped of with 2 Dial-in car classes, Bikes and Sleds and Jr. Dragster racing.

New for 2020 – we are considering adding the sportsman classes to our points structure; we’ve loads of requests to add a No Time class to our schedule; we are considering adding exhibition classes to a couple of our events.

On the schedule side of things, our focus is to try to secure bigger payouts and draw more entries. So the only way to schedule it properly is to set our goals on having 2 day/ 1 race weekends for all classes! This will ensure that all classes can get finished, payouts made, and awards handed out at each weekend – barring weather!

RPM Magazine Smackdown4 – As always, this event will feature everything for the No Time heads up doorslammer enthusiast as well bring the best of sportsman racing under one roof! Classes at the event will include: Outlaw Extreme, Limited 28s, 235 Outlaws, Street Bike, Street275, Real Street, 8.80 Extreme Bikes, 3 dial-in classes for Autos and Bikes/ Sleds and Jr Dragster racing. 2020 will see the return of CANADA’S FASTEST STREET CAR SHOOTOUT – a we search to find the quickest 1/8mile street car in Canada! Also new and exciting will be the addition of Sunday’s No Clock Small Block Shootout! The schedule for this event will look like previous years with some slight differences. Friday testing will be followed with the regular Friday night TNT. Saturday will feature the complete No Time Heads Up event from start to finish, which the Sportsman classes will begin on Saturday and Sunday, ensuring all classes will be completed and get their proper payouts and awards!

Unfinished Business returns to NYIRP – Lancaster Dragway in August! Get ready for a great weekend of camping and racing as we strive to bring you a show that will top our efforts of 2019. All the same classes with a few surprises we have in store should keep everyone excited as we make press releases over the next few months!

The Fall Small Tire Shootout returns to Sparta… where it all started 8 years ago! 3 classes of No Time heads up racing will fill the day – Big Tire, Small Tire and real Street.
